"In Our Hands” is a campaign and a call to come together to help to preserve the iconic Cathedral of the Assumption, Thurles. In 2029, the Cathedral will celebrate its 150th anniversary. Maintaining a building of this architectural value, age and size comes withsignificant challenges. The roof of the Cathedral needs to be replaced, there are structural cracks in the building, and issues with leaks and dampness. If we do not take action now, the Cathedral will not withstand the test of time.
